When Mother Nature gets the better of us, our farm can get hit with poor weather conditions, like frost. This can result in us losing a portion of our crop and not having the amount of fruit we need. To remedy this, our aunt and uncle, who own their own fruit farm, will sell us fruit if they have a surplus. Of course, we do the same for them.
Unfortunately, every so often, we have more fruit than we can possibly sell. We hate to see it go to waste, so other farmers (our friends) might take it to sell. What is left gets donated to charities, and what can’t be donated is left on the farm as compost to help our trees stay healthy. This is the nature of farming.
