The Market

In 2018, discussions began of building and opening up a Farm Store on our acreage located just outside of Airdrie. After many long days, we completed the construction of our family-built, personally owned-and-operated local market. We opened our doors to the public on June 11, 2021 and have only continued to expand since then!

We carry products from over 40 local vendors, including bread and baked goods, dairy products, meat, fresh produce from our farms and other local farmers that we support, jams and preserves, candy, snacks, ice cream, and so much more!

We have animals to see, a playground for the kids, a patio to enjoy, events for the whole family, and so much more!

  • Matthew's Straw Maze

    Our hay bale maze is up and ready for the season! Come enjoy a nice stroll, or race through - either way, it's a blast!

  • Lily's Playground

    Our patio now includes our recently-built playground! Grab a coffee, and enjoy watching your kids play on a summer afternoon!

  • Ella's Kitchen

    One of our favourite parts of the market is the food! Our concession offers hot and iced coffee, ice cream by the scoop, hot dogs, and more.

  • Animals

    What farm is complete without animals? Come visit our fainting goats, our miniature ponies, our bunnies, potbelly pigs, and more!

  • Patio

    We offer more than just a grocery store - but a whole experience! Have some ice cream and sit back and enjoy it on our patio. From here you can enjoy the summer weather, see our workers in the fields, children on the playground, and enjoy the atmosphere of our family business!

  • The Garden

    The best part about shopping local is knowing where your product comes from! Our garden is located just behind our store location. From the patio, you can see our field and watch as we plant, tend, and harvest throughout the season!

Souto Farms Local Market is located at "275170 Dickson Stevenson Trail, Rocky View County, Alberta". We're located north of the Airdrie Superstore - the large red building with the green roof!.

Is it similar to your farmers' markets?

If you've ever visited us at a community farmers' market, you've seen the large variety of fresh produce that we carry! Souto Farms Local Market has an even larger variety, along with products from over 40 local vendors. We promise you won't be dissapointed!

Why a local market?

Souto Farms has always been actively involved in the community and always did what we could to support other, local vendors! We love the farmers' markets we attend, but also wanted to be able to provide a place of our own to sell locally-made products, from both ourselves and other vendors in the community. Since opening in 2021, we have continued to expand our operations, and have consistently added several new vendors to our store.

Do you offer U-Pick?

At this time, Souto Farms does not offer any form of U-Pick or community garden programs. If you would like to learn more about our garden, please visit our store location or message us directly!

Can I sell my products in your market?
